About ClipPod

ClipPod turns a podcast episode into short clips. You paste a link or upload a file, it finds the moments worth posting; you pick, and it frames and captions the ones you make — vertical, square or wide. When two people are on screen it splits the frame — the person talking on top, the listener below — so a landscape two-shot survives the crop to a phone screen. That last part is the reason the product exists.

Who makes it

ClipPod is a solo-operated service, built and run by one person since 2026. There is no team behind the byline on the guides, which is why they are signed by ClipPod rather than by a fictional staff. Email reaches a real person at support@clippod.app.

How the guides are researched

The guides compare ClipPod against tools we also sell against, so the method matters more than the verdict. Four rules:

  • Every competitor claim is dated. Prices and features come from each vendor's own pricing page, help centre or feature page, read on a stated day. Vendors change prices; a claim without a date is a claim with an expiry you can't see.
  • "Not stated" is not "no". Where a vendor's own site doesn't describe a feature, the tables say so rather than scoring it zero. A tool may well do something it never advertises.
  • ClipPod is disclosed by position, not by disclaimer. It's our product, it's listed first, and its section describes how it works and where it falls short instead of scoring itself against the field.
  • Our own numbers come from our own runs. Timings, clip counts and costs are measured on real episodes through the live pipeline, not estimated. Where a number comes from one episode, the guide says which episode.

What we haven't done yet: a controlled head-to-head running one identical episode through every tool. Until that exists the comparisons rest on vendor claims plus our own measurements, and the guides say so where it matters.

Corrections

If a guide gets something wrong about your product — a price that moved, a feature we marked "not stated" that you do ship — write to support@clippod.app and it gets fixed, with the updated date changed on the page. The Terms and Privacy Policy cover the service itself.
